About Me

Carl Martens has a knack for collaborative endeavors. Even before he graduated from DeVry University with a degree in Marketing, Carl had successfully established Zowbie as one of the industry’s freshest new integrated marketing firms. He founded the company because of his belief that most firms have too much overhead and must pass unnecessary fees along to their clients. By partnering with a strong network of talented independent agents, Carl eliminated the need for brick and mortar, eradicated high operational costs, and passes the savings directly to his valued clients.

Prior to Zowbie, Carl was a salesperson at Award Concepts, a provider of service award and recognition programs. During his time at Award Concepts, Carl learned how to counsel award and recognition customers to a “best fit” program. “Best fit” included eliminating peripheral services that added unneccesary cost while still maximizing the intent of the client to acknowledge their employees. His approach was a cost effective marketing plan. Thus Zowbie, and its four pillars of marketing support, was born.

Today, Carl is responsible for building and enhancing Zowbie’s service and operations platform, developing new business, and ensuring total client satisfaction.

Carl is a member of Sigma Beta Delta Honor Society, Human Resources Management Association of Chicago (HRMAC), Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the National Association for Employee Recognition (NAER). He renews his creative energies by sailing, kayaking, and playing with his Golden Retriever, Maddux and his Papillon, Pierre.
